Belly Dancing Clothes
13 Jan 2010
There are a variety of belly dancing clothes available to choose from and you can mix and match the different styles according to your personal taste. For example, if you buy your color schemes wisely one hip scarf may go with several different outfits as can one or two veils.
If you have your belly dancing clothes made to order you can have one bra top that matches with both a skirt and a pair of harem pants and alternate them to suit different occasions or even your own personal moods. Alternatively, selecting costumes that are color co-ordinated as with blues, greens and purples or red, gold, orange and yellow will allow you to come up with a variety of different looking costumes using the just a few items.
Harem Pants
Harem pants, which originated in India are very loose fitting with the crotch hanging down sometimes as far as the knees giving the impression of a skirt, but then they taper in at the ankle giving a very attractive effect. They are comfortable and easy to wear and are especially suitable for ladies who are a little shy about showing off too much leg and waist. They also allow for ample movement whilst maintaining the gracefulness of a skirt.
Take a look at this picture of harem style pants. As you can see they are just as beautiful as skirts and sometimes even indefinable from a skirt.

Belly Dancing Skirts
Belly dancing skirts are often quite risqué, but this does not have to be the case, because you can opt for a full skirt if you prefer. Also, although they usually show off a lot of your middle, if you do not feel comfortable with this you may very elegantly cover up your belly a little by strategically using scarves. I must state though that in looking at pictures of traditional belly dancers you will find that more often than not they do not have a flat belly and there are plenty of men out there who find a woman’s belly to be quite attractive, so don’t be too critical of your figure.

Choosing your belly dancing clothes can be a lot of fun, but of course no more so than actually wearing them and getting out there and dancing in them. Enjoy!
